Triple Crochet Stitch
For when you need a VERY tall crochet stitch.
An elegant columnar crochet stitch that creates an airy fabric with very tall rows. Also known as treble crochet.
How to do it:
Basic Principle:
You’ll be using a crochet hook to form a very tall crochet stitch by using two yarn overs and pulling through two loops at a time.
Wrap the yarn around the hook (yarn over) twice, then insert your hook through the top two loops (the top chain) of the row below.
Catch the yarn (yarn over) and pull it through the stitch loops. You should have four loops on the hook—the one you just made, the two from the yarn-over wraps, and the one from the previous stitch.
Yarn over and pull the yarn through the first two loops.
Yarn over again and pull the yarn through the next two loops.
Yarn over again and pull the yarn through the remaining two loops, leaving only one loop on the hook.
Congratulations! You’ve completed a triple crochet stitch!
