Construction
Fingerless mittens are worked in the round from the cuff up to the fingers, then finished with the thumb.
Sizes
Measurements given are hand circumference, not finished garment measurements. Age ranges are approximates.
Extra Small (Child): 6 to 6.5 inches (or 15 to 16.3 cm)
Small (Youth & Ladies’ Small): 7 inches (or 17.5 cm)
Medium (Youth Large & Ladies’ Medium): 7.5 inches (or 18.8 cm)
Large (Ladies’ Large): 8 to 8.5 inches (or 20 to 21.3 cm)
Supplies
Yarn
1 (1, 1, 2) balls worsted-weight yarn with 99 metres in 50 grams (or 110 yards in 1.76 ounces).
Approximate yardages: 66 (82, 92, 115) yards [or 61 (75, 95, 103) metres].
Needles
4.0 mm (US 6) double-pointed needles, or size needed to obtain gauge
Optional alternative: circular needles in the same size to work in the round using two circular needles or one circular needle with the Magic Loop Method

Gauge
24 stitches and 32 rows = 4 inches (or 10 cm) over stockinette stitch in the round.
